Welcome to our website and thank you for your interest in the union.

The United Independent Union was born of a need for a non political non affiliated trade union.

This allows for time and resources to be used exclusively in the pursuit of improvements for members on an individual or collective basis.

You can join as an individual or as a group if more practical.

We have membership in a number of sectors that include

Health
Public Services
Transport
Manufacturing
Telecommunications
Education 

Your Rights
There is now considerable legislation covering employment rights in the workplace.
Our role is to provide you with information and representation to best serve you should you encounter issues within your workplace.
This includes grievance and disciplinary issues.
If you currently have a live issue we will be able to assist. Non members subject to agreement.
